FOOD SERVICES SUPERVISOR (Full-time) - Chelsey Park Candidates are invited to apply for the full-time position of Food Services Supervisor at Chelsey Park Retirement Community and Long-Term Care Residence located in London On. Reporting to the Food Services Manager, follows established policies, procedures and standards, oversees food production and serving of food for the residents, including the more complex meal preparation for the facility (dinner, sauces, desserts etc.), supervises staff, the production area and equipment use. RESPONSIBILITIES * Completes dietary profiles for each resident using MDS RAI.
* Completes all low and moderate quarterly MDS and nutrition screening, communicates regularly with Registered Dietitian and interdisciplinary team
* Completes and attends care conferences for all residents
* Completes diet changes as outlined by homes Registered Dietitian
* Completes monthly duties including; chair of Food Advisory Meeting, month end reporting, CQI audits as outlined by the dietary CQI schedule
* Maintains records in accordance with policies, procedures, and MOHLTC legislative requirements
* Acts as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team, acts as a representative for Extendicare, through participation in regional and professional activities as appropriate
* Participates on committees related to resident care, facility operation and Quality indicators as required; staff and clinical meetings
* Supervises, schedules and motivates dietary staff; ensures dietary staff works as a team, ensures high level of productivity and best use of staff capabilities
* Ensures environment of all food preparation and storage areas meets Public health requirements
* Maintains inventory including tracking and ordering of all food, ordering, labelling
* Weekly production sheets, prepares menus for posting, revises recipes as required
* Works in collaboration with retirement home Food Service Supervisor (shared kitchen) QUALIFICATIONS * Current Membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management required
* Post-Secondary Diploma in Food Nutrition Management/equivalent required
* Minimum 1-2 years Food Service Supervisory experience in a LTC environment as asset
* Proficiency with computer applications Microsoft Office
* Experience with PointClickCare required
* Excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
* Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
* Customer-focused attitude, with demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective team relationships with staff and residents Candidates will be required to provide a Vulnerable Persons Sector Police Check (acceptable if within 6 months).
