You call up your friend and get their voicemail. Of course your joker of a friend has a hilarious novelty message on their machine. You laugh, and leave a message and start to think maybe you should "spice up" your voicemail message.

WAIT!

A novelty voicemail message is great for your friends and family but if you're looking for a job your potential employer doesn't want to hear your attempt to rap about when you will return a message.

Here are a few examples of professional sounding voicemail messages to use while your'e on the job hunt.

Hello, you have reached Jim's voicemail, I am not available at the present moment, but if you leave your name, number and a short message I'll be sure to get back to you as soon as possible.

The person your are trying to call is not available, Please leave a message after the beep.

This is Jim. I'm currently unable to take your call. Please leave your name, phone number, and a brief message, and I will contact you as soon as possible. Thanks.
