Creating Your New Future!

Posted by in Career Advice

Thirty years ago, in order to go into business, you had to have a lot of money (your's or the bank's), a suitable building somewhere with a door that locked, several employees with matching uniforms, insurance, company vehicles, neon signs, and lots of patience. Ahh... those were the days.... those were the very S....L....O....W D....A.....Y......S......!....!....! But alas, in today's world you can sit in your jammies (even those huge bunny slippers your mom told you not to wear to work), in the comfort of your own home, answer emails while watching your favorite TV program, cooking dinner and doing the laundry. And you can make great money at it! Huge businesses are outsourcing while you are creating your future around it. My team doesn't wear matching uniforms. I've never even met some of them. Yet we all do our part to ensure our success. Think of YOUR possibilities. FACT: Possibilities are just Realities that haven't been born yet! So how do you create your own future? Even more importantly how do you create the Successful Future? Glad you asked! Here are a few things that, if you do them, they will set your sights on the skies and you'll take to the air. 1) Discover what you really love to do and find a way to make money at it. My greatest moments are spent encouraging others and helping them make their own dreams come true. I have a gift for it. It fulfills me to the core of my being. That's why I coach. I have a client who loves to help orphan children find loving homes. She started her own adoption business and it is already hugely successful. Another client is shy and doesn't like to go to networking/ marketing functions. She loves to organize and write. She now has a fantastic plan she's working to start her own Virtual Assistant business. 2) Be Authentically Yourself Entrepreneurs are all about individuality and independence. That mindset doesn't fit into a mold. Don't try to make a box for it. Allow yourself permission and the freedom to be who you truly are. Some new business owners think they can't do that for fear of offending customers or potential buyers. The question I always ask is why would you want customers who are offended by the real you? Being authentic will attract the type of people that bring out the best in you. That will help you live your dream much more quickly AND you'll be far happier while taking the journey! 3) Eliminate "Compromise" From Your Vocabulary It's great to get advice from those who have taken to the skies before you. I know I learned (and continue to) so much from my mentors. But when all the advice has been doled out and you have hundreds of differing opinions as to how you should fly, remember that it's YOUR dream. In the end, you have to do what you feel is right. Don't compromise what you feel in your heart because someone else feels its in your best interest. Unless you're about to fall off a 5,000 foot cliff and they want you to change course, you have the right to attempt to fly in any direction you choose. You can flap your wings any way you choose. Ducks waddle together in a line. Eagles soar above with freedom and independence! Don't settle for being a waddling water foul when you are destined to be the Eagle of the heavens! Reba J. Yes, I am in agreement with Dr. R.J.Hoffman,We all are watching and being amazed at the Home-Based business entrepreneurship enterprises.  I know I am thoroughly enjoying waking up when I have finished sleeping. I must renew myself in faith to do my entrepreneurship work.  I am engaged in two, totally different markets.  I am practicing yielding to the gentle nudges from the Holy Spirit.  To intentional stay on course with my purposes for each business.  Each day I anticipate good reports.  My friends who are on the same path, we encourage each other to strengthen each other to keep moving upward.  I am taking advantage of this opportunity to voice my opinion-the answer is yes to entrepreneurship.  I am being fulfilled in all areas.Charlie StoreyRegional Sales Director/AmeriPlan Health Carewww.mybenefitsplus.com/cstoreybalamcharliestorey@hotmail.com
