    Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health - Massachusetts and Rhode Island's main campus is located in Rutland, MA and provides educational services, residential and group home services and adult services to the most vulnerable members of our society in the areas of autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, specialty mental health, and child welfare.

    As a Direct Care Professional, you will assist in daily living activities, including emotional and behavior support & management, health and hygiene management, cleaning, and recreational activities for the individuals we serve. You will actively mentor, coach, monitor, re-direct and support our individuals and maintain a safe and therapeutic treatment environment. You will also be responsible for accurate documentation, including, but not limited to, shift reports, incident reports and individual progress reports.

    Qualifications

    • Must be 21 years of age or older

    • Must be able to obtain a Massachusetts driver's license within six months or hire.

    • Bachelor's Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, education or other related field or High School Diploma with 12 years relevant Human Service experience required

    • Previous experience preferred working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders.

    • Completion of Diana Screening Assessment

    Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate's understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
