  • Summary:

    In this role, you will work closely within the Meta Data Center Design Engineering and Construction (DEC) Business controls team and various internal departments including Site Project Management teams, Geographic Construction team, Pre-Construction, QAQC, Safety, Cost, Facility Operations, Design, Global Data Center Connectivity, Sourcing and Operations Engineering, etc. The focus will be on schedule risk management and Project Controls within the North American region (currently targeted to support Southwest region but subject to change) for both New Builds and Retrofit projects. The Geo Schedule Manager will be responsible for oversight (expectations and performance) of the Site Schedulers and deliverables within their specified region. Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills are a must in this highly collaborative and strategic role.This is a full-time position that includes approximately 30-50% travel to Data Centers within the Region and/or office.     Required Skills:

    Geographical Schedule Manager Responsibilities:

    1. Support Pre-construction team in the review of General Contractor contracts for new projects, gathering of historical data, incorporation of master contract terms, communication and management of finalized schedule baseline etc.

    2. Ensure baseline schedules meet all Meta requirements, incorporate all lessons learned and best practices and all Meta initiatives, have sufficient level of detail and optimized project sequences from both schedule and cost perspective.

    3. Review and ensure accuracy of regional scheduler deliverables and communication of key dates to Site Leadership & Strategic Planning & Analytics partners.

    4. Review internal P6 schedules during all stages of the project lifecycle, from project scoping & design through execution and handover to Facilities.

    5. Ensure proactive schedule risk identification and communication based on schedule-specific trends and details (critical path performance, schedule compression and trade stacking, labor availability, logic changes, missing schedule details (equipment, design, commissioning, etc.)), equipment trends (Proclog 2.0 and market outlook), Cx readiness trends (BIM360 and GC L2 Cx databases), as well as any other signals identified.

    6. Ensure that the global DEC risk register is updated timely and reflects all potential schedule risks accurately for each milestone (all risks should be specific with impact and mitigation evaluated and tracked).

    7. Ensure proper resource loading, tracking, reporting and analytics for the projects chosen for EVM/resource loading and tracking.

    8. Understand and communicate regional project's Project Controls Health (schedule and risk) with Geo Project Managers.

    9. Support preparation efforts for Quarterly Strategic Planning, Long-Range Planning, and Annual Site Planning establishment & reporting.

    10. Support/lead assigned global strategic initiatives.

    11. Review regional projects' Work in Place (WIP) and ensure alignment with Financial partners for quarterly submission to Finance.

    12. Direct communication with Site Schedulers within region to ensure collaboration with Project Controls Analysts and alignment of project health between cost and schedule.

    13. Maintain Relationship with GC Partners (i.e., continual communication of expectations and performance feedback, programmatic initiatives collaboration, etc.).

    14. Preparation of Monthly Executive Reports & Presentations for Global Leadership Meetings with required quality and data accuracy.

    15. Preparation of data & themes for General Contractor Quarterly & Annual Business Reviews and attendance as necessary.

    16. Strategize and drive programmatic efficiencies and opportunities for the future of Project Controls within ICM, including continued alignment with other Regional Schedule Managers to ensure alignment.

    17. Responsible for performance management of 3-5 Site Schedulers within region.

    18. Approximately 30-50% travel to other Data Center sites within region and home office.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    1. BA/BS in construction management, engineering, or equivalent.

    2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction and project management for various construction programs.

    3. Experience in construction planning, scheduling, pull planning, and Earned Value Management.

    4. Experience with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Primavera P6.

    5. Experience communicating financial status and schedule details from multiple construction sites to executive management.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    1. 5+ years of field experience.

    2. Data center design and construction experience.

    3. Experience with cost control tooling (such as eBuilder, Procore, or others).

    Public Compensation:

    $143,000/year to $168,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
