    The Global Corporate Communications Manager leads and implements all internal communications and select external communications in support of Smiths Medical’s strategy and objectives.

    </div> </div> <div class="lumesse-description-field"> <div class="lumesse-description-title">Duties & Responsibilities </div> <div class="lumesse-description-content">

    • Creates and implements a holistic communications strategy that drives employee engagement and the internal brand, including internal employee communications, all-employee global town hall meetings, and internal communications channels.
    • Works hand in hand with executive team and key stakeholders to develop communication messages and tactical plans.
    • Serves as strategic internal and external communications counsel to support global functions successfully deliver on their needs.
    • Manages internal and external crisis and major incident communications in partnership with key stakeholders and Smiths Group corporate communications team.
    • Manages media and public relations to protect and strengthen Smiths Medical’s brand image in partnership with marketing communications.
    • Serve as primary interface with Smiths Group’s Corporate Communications team.
    • Manages Corporate Communications budget.
    • Applies effective benchmarks, best practices and metrics to measure effectiveness of communications strategies and tactics.

    • University Degree (BA degree) in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field required or equivalent experience
    • 5-7 years corporate communications experience in a global organization.
    • Proven experience in building and implementing innovative, high-impact communications strategies across a variety of channels.
    • Proven experience in supporting large scale organizational change initiatives and transformations.
    • Excellent writing skills, with strong experience in corporate and executive communications.
    • Experience managing crisis communications both internally and externally.
    • Experience managing external partners/consultants.

    • Self-starter who can quickly manage priorities and thrives in a fast-paced matrixed environment.
    • Able to assess and understand situations quickly and clearly.
    • Able to anticipate and support the needs of stakeholders
    • Able to travel both domestically and international, as required.
