Cost Accountant

Ampal, Inc. is looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to join th Finance Department.  The primary function will be performing cost analyses. The ideal candidate will be a motivated employee who will help Ampal fully iplement and use our new ERP softward to full ability from this newly created position.

Requirements:

• Cost accounting background in standard cost environment.
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
• Experience with automated ERP software systems, IQMS a plus.
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel and functional in Outlook and Powerpoint.
• Ability to work individually to complete tasks.
• Professional behavior, respecting all team members.

Duties:

• Review daily health reports and post daily production.  Collaborate with operations to explain/correct production reporting.
• Become submect matter expert in ERP cost accounting modules.
• Variance reporting - understand and explain significant variances to standard.
• Assist in developing and performing production KPI reporting.
• Assist in month end and year end closing, annual physical inventory.
• Account reconciliations from inventory accounts.
• General accounting cross training to support department.
• Assist in various corporate registration reporting.
• Various projects as needed.
