The New Product Introduction (NPI) Team bridges the Sales Team and the Manufacturing Team, engaging with Sales as we quote new business and handing it off to Manufacturing upon final qualification approval.   We are seeking an experienced leader to spearhead our NPI activity in Staunton, Virginia to help us ensure solid communication, flawless execution, and world-class and quality in every medical product that we help our MedTech partners bring to life. Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the innovation and quoting of new opportunities brought forth by the Sales Team and help win those opportunities.
  • Foster strong, results-oriented, cross-functional execution with the projects won from the RFQ process to meet timelines, budget and quoted outcomes to satisfy both external customers and the internal operations team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product realization processes and deliver high-quality medical devices.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Provide leadership and development for a core team of project leaders and NPI specific technical talent.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in leading engineering teams commercializing MedTech products.
  • Experience with plastics (strong plus) and/or other raw material conversion to component to subassembly to potentially final assembly manufacturing processes.
  • Strong understanding of contract manufacturing and launching products in regulated environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adept at conflict resolution and establishing credibility with customers and senior leadership.

The majority of time will be spent in the office environment.  Occasional travel may be required. Must be able to tolerate sitting and working with a computer for extended periods of time. Fine motor skills are utilized when typing and using various office machines. Requires clear verbal communication, hearing ability and clear vision or reasonable alternative. Must be able to move throughout our facility safely and effectively and interact with employees. Willingness to work additional hours during the week and/or weekend, if required.
