Executive Chef

Chef Tim Love is looking for a new experienced Executive Chef to join our team! The Woodshed is an upscale casual establishment with a great view of the Trinity River.

We are looking for someone with a commitment to quality and a passion for food!

Responsibilities: 
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and ensure high-quality culinary dishes are served
- Create and develop menus that align with the restaurant's concept and target audience
- Manage the kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Supervise the dietary department to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to plan and execute special events and catering services
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed
- Implement effective cost control measures to maximize profitability

Requirements: 
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or catering establishment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and industry best practices
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of kitchen management principles, including inventory control, menu planning, and cost management
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff, management, and customers
