Maintenance Technician

TOPS Staffing is currently looking to hire a maintenance technician for a well-established manufacturing client located in the Oakmont, PA area. 

The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment. 
 
Job Details:
Hours:  8am to 4:30pm
Work schedule: Monday to Friday - Weekends as needed not regularly 
Starting pay rate $25.00 – $33.00 an hour based on experience 
 
Duties/Responsibilities:

• Understand basic principles of electricity
• Required experience working with 3-phase, 480v electricity
• Experience maintaining, repairing and trouble shooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems  
• PLC experience is a preferred skill
• Electronic troubleshooting abilities is required
• Must be able to read and work from prints or schematics, both electrical and mechanical prints
• Disassembly & reassembly of production equipment.
• Basic preventative maintenance type tasks

Education and Experience:

• Highschool degree or GED equivalent
• Associates degree in maintenance is preferred
• 2 years of maintenance experience in a production or industrial environment

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing
• Bend, crawl, kneel and sometimes climb on a regular basis.
• Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs from time to time
