National Sales Director - Stable Value Investments
We're looking for a high caliber Senior Director/Director of Stable Value Sales to help build MassMutual's stable value sales team and expand our brand and AUM in the Adviser sold DC markets for 401k, 457, 403b, HSA, Taft Hartley plans. Our innovative range of stable solutions are designed to serve the diverse capital preservation needs of plan types and span the spectrum of general account, separate account, group annuity, GIC, CIT and custom wrap solutions backed by the full faith and credit and financial strength of MassMutual.
In this exciting new leadership role, you have an opportunity to partner with the Head of business to build out a new market segment for the Stable Value Investments line. This is a great opportunity to help build out our team in a successful new direction, grow AUM and revenues as an industry leading stable value solutions provider across all segments of the market. The ideal candidate/s brings a specialization in DC Stable Value markets, a strong sales track record and existing contacts. A strong foundational base knowledge of insurance companies, preservation products and contracting complexities is helpful to pivot complex product solutions consultatively to meet the needs of plan intermediaries

As the Senior Director of Stable Value Sales, your responsibilities and duties will include the following:
Leadership role in the build out of MassMutual's stable value presence in adviser sold market (retirement advisers, plans, consultants, aggregators)
Deliver on annual business growth goals - Sales and Client retention
Identify new prospects for MassMutual via prior relationships and leverage industry and internal parties to build robust connections
Work closely with clients or their advisers to understand their client capital preservation goals, address concerns and offer the right application to meet their needs
Forge and maintain ongoing partnerships with key decision makers across key retirement intermediaries and/or plans
Able to travel domestically at least 60% of time
Proficient in industry best practices, target markets using established sales process and tools
Expand business to other DC plan types outside 401k such as HSA, 403b, Taft Hartley
Coordinate all product marketing and serve as the primary problem solver for more complex issues related to sales and clients.
Provide regular pipeline updates to business head capturing prospecting and sales activity
Serve as a point of accountability to increase MassMutual Stable Value revenue addressing issues and obstacles,
Bachelor's degree 7+ years of experience in Stable Value or Fixed Income Investment sales with advisers and consultants
Insurance licensed or ability to procure
Established player with advisor contacts and key relationships
Good strategic mindset with excellent execution
Self-driven, highly motivated individual with a track record of stable value sales
Experience working in insurance companies with base understanding of guarantees, capital and fixed income portfolios
General knowledge of DC plan types, regulatory landscape, product solutions
Strong knowledge of and market intelligence on insurance competitive environment in adviser sold stable value
Excellent communication skills including, written, verbal and presentation skills.
Strong team player willing to work for the broader good of the organization
Ability to thrive in a relatively new and start up space with some tolerance for ambiguity
$160-$200k base salary range, plus sales-based compensation (targeted at 70% of total wages)
