The Registered nurse will provide direct patient care to cardiac patients, as well as communicates with physicians continuously to ensure patient safety during the procedures. Work Hours/Shift:

• Full-Time

• 40 hours per week

• Day shift

You Will Be Responsible For :

• Cardiology Stress Testing

• Moderate Sedation for Transesophageal Echocardiograms

• Dysrhythmia Trained

• In patient cardiac education

• Starting Intravenous Lines

• Intravenous contrast injection during Echocardiograms

• Assisting in Cardiac Rehabilitation outpatient programs

• Collaborating with patients, families, peers, physicians, and other members of the health care team in the delivery of healthcare services

Requirements :

• Education : Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduate preferred.

• Licensure : Current Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Connecticut.

• Certification : BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS.

• Experience : Minimum 2 years of Exercise Laboratory experience. Experience with Cardiology Stress Testing and moderate Sedation for Transesophageal Echocardiograms. Dysrhythmia Trained and experience performing Cardioversions.

• Basic computer skills required.

• Effective communication, organizational and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
