    The Role at a Glance:

    We're excited to add a Sr. Consultant, Vendor Management to the IT Organization.

    In this role, you will provide complex vendor management knowledge, capability, consulting, support and implementation to develop and execute vendor management solutions in alignment with business goals and objectives. The role will manage all aspects of the relationship with vendors, to drive favorable relationships with senior leaders / stakeholders / vendors, maximize the value of vendor engagements, and mitigate risk.. The role will also manage assigned internal relationships to ensure vendors meet expectations.

    What you'll be doing

    • Assess & identify potential risks when reviewing new processes, services & procedures

    • Assess complex internal/external customer needs to develop key performance indicators for vendors

    • Develop & drives implementation of the governance processes as outlined in contracts & the internal LFG governance processes with regard to managing suppliers including the tracking and monitoring of contracted deliverables (e.g. termination clauses, pricing, SLAs, etc.) and obligations

    • Develop & present effective communications to senior management

    • Directly monitor Service Level Agreements & performance against penalty clauses for vendors

    • Drive innovative dialogue with internal/external stakeholders and suppliers to find solutions to enhance processes within their assigned area(s)

    • Direct and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility

    • Effectively coordinate & collaborate with assigned area(s), as well as Legal, Corporate Compliance & other key partners to drive achievement of business goals & objectives

    • Identify and direct the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit for their assigned area(s) of responsibility

    • Identify complex issues, problems, or changes; conducts research, tracks, and reports on supplier SLA issues. Monitors escalated issues to ensure resolution and that suppliers meet or exceed service levels

    • Partner with assigned area(s) to ensure proper protocols are in place to support vendor contracts and regulatory needs related to vendor services

    • Partner with internal stakeholders to monitor, evaluate & review vendor expenses

    • Researches, develops, implements & monitors vendor management initiatives for assigned area(s) that support growth & profitability

    • Serves as subject matter expert & point of contact on escalated issues; monitors delivery problems and improves the quality of the relationship between LFG & its suppliers

    • Utilizes Supplier Lifecyle Performance application or other technology to effectively monitor & track vendors, projects & tasks

    • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions

    What we're looking for

    Must have

    • 5-7+ years experience in vendor management, supply chain management, and/or any related field (required)

    • 4 year Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) - Minimum required

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to drive, build, and maintain favorable relationships with senior-most leaders across Lincoln and its supply base

    • Aptitude to build, foster, and maintain positive, professional relationships across Lincoln and its supply base

    • Develop and deliver presentations that convey a compelling story of current, future, and ideal state of business through concise, well-organized slides for high-stakes meetings that affect critical business decisions. and secure alignment across multiple stakeholders, scheduling, and leading meetings with internal and external senior-level stakeholders.

    • Experienced project management skills - Significant coordination across multiple stakeholders / business units

    • Experience with extracting requirements from contracts to determine supplier deliverables, services level expectations, etc., access Ariba to identify spend / run reports, assemble performance metrics / KPIs, etc.)

    Nice to have:

    • Experience working with IT Vendors and Stakeholders

    • PMI Certification
