LinkedIn, the online network targeted to career professionals has become the second largest social network in the U.S. (after Facebook), recently sliding ahead of Myspace. This information follows news that the Myspace social network was just recently purchased by celebrity Justin Timberlake. Internet analytics firm comScore reported that LinkedIn received 33.9 individual visitors in June, increasing by six figures from May 2011. Myspace however lost close to a million and a half viewers from May to June, with 33.5 million viewers from the states visiting the site last month. However, Myspace reports to have 130 million active users compared to the 115 million LinkedIn users.
