5-1600 - Neurology Unit - Nurse Service Professional Development Specialist

Responsibilities

Provide educational resource and leadership support for neuro unit. Must have a strong clinical base as well as an interest/background in quality assurance, care management, orientation, and continuing education. Main areas of focus will be orientation, inservices, competency development and documentation. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a must. Requires a Master's degree, 3 years med.-surg. experience required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Master's Degree in related field in Nursing required; Master's Degree in Nursing Education (MNE) preferred. Three to five years RN experience in acute care setting preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience, Recent clinical and educational expertise in specialty area required. Registered Nurse with current New York State license required. Nursing Professional Development Certification required.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $41.00 - $57.40

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
