  • Description

    • Assists with the development, updating, and distribution of safety policies.

    • Coordinates the development of an emergency resource program and teams.

    • Assists with developing and maintaining employee safety training programs and conducts training.

    • Assists in organizing and coordinating recovery actions from a disaster or emergency and serves as a liaison with company and government agencies.

    • Provides employee alert and warning device procedures, maintenance, and activation.

    • Inspects and maintains assigned issued safety equipment.

    • Coordinates with Fort Sill Weather, Fire and safety preparedness issues.

    • Supports the development and maintenance of an employee safety committee.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Two years related experience with the ability to perform the assigned duties.

    • Experience in a maintenance environment is strongly preferred.

    • EM 385-1-1 and 30 hour OSHA General Industry training a plus.

    • Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.

    • Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.

    • Possess valid driver's license and maintain good driving record.

    • If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).

    • Professional registration is a plus, but not required. Expertise and training in the following areas is preferred:

    • 40-hour EM 385-1-1 Construction Safety Awareness Course

    • 30-hour OSHA Occupational Health & Safety Course
