    SMX is seeking an ACAS Engineer to join the team in support of the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program Office (JPO) Special Access Program (SAP) networks. This position is onsite in Crystal City, VA.

    The ACAS Engineer is responsible for

    • Analyzing the results of security scans, independent of EIMA and EIMA-provided scan data, and ensuring that appropriate System Administrators apply security patches and/or make changes to the security configuration of the system as required

    • Providing scan analysis, independent of EIMA and EIMA-provided scan data, of all assets as needed to support and validate IAVM and STIG compliance

    • Providing status update reports detailing IAVM and STIG compliance

    • Addressing any vulnerability findings identified as a result of DISA Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI) assistance visits in the DISA Vulnerability Management System (VMS) according to severity level

    • Developing and implementing information assurance/security standards and procedures

    • Performing analyzing, designing, and developing security features for system architectures

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Clearance Required: Top Secret

    • A Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the past five years is required. Individual must be eligible under the SAP Nomination Process for access to SAP/SAR

    • BS or BA degree in a Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Engineering

    • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: 6 years of relevant experience

    • Three (3) years of recent relevant experience

    • Two (2) years' experience with ACAS disciplines and protocols to include comprehensive knowledge of specific C&A tasks

    • Demonstrated experience with proactively performing monthly and targeted (asset or IAVM) security scans on all networks using the latest approved Government security scanner to determine vulnerabilities on assets

    • Demonstrated experience with building, upgrading and maintaining ACAS v4.x & 5.x environments on NIPR/SIPR & standalone networks

    • Demonstrated knowledge of Tenable products; SecurityCenter, Nessus, PVS, Nessus Manager, Nessus Agents

    • IAT Level III baseline certification in accordance with DoDD 8140.01 "Cyberspace Workforce Management" (or achieve within six months of TOA or hiring)

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Linux+ certification

    • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification

    • JSIG Training
