Accountant

Description

International, chemical company seeks a proactive, Accountant with human resources expertise. The responsibilities for this role will consist of: preparing payroll including deductions, maintaining employee records, processing workers compensation activities, completing new hire onboarding, processing employee expenses, assisting with credit card reconciliation, reviewing and updating internal discipline requirements, create and distribute human resource reports, monitoring employee attendance, assisting with accounts payable transactions, and ensuring regulatory compliance. In this Accountant role, you will keep aligned with legal requirements by following general accounting policies and procedures and by following internal best practices to help maintain revenue health.

How you will make an impact

• Enter and process accounts payable

• Employee Onboarding

• Prepare financial reports

• Account Reconciliation

• Preparing weekly and monthly payroll

• Maintain strong internal controls/compliance

• Gather proper documentation for annual audits

• Assist with the month-end close process

• Process expense reports

• Update and distribute human resource plans

Requirements

The ideal Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Accountant role include and are not limited to

• 3+ years accounting through month end close experience

• Payroll experience preferred

• Human Resources experience preferred

• Intermediate Excel skills

• SAP a plus
