Accountant

ADECCO CURRENTLY IS HIRING FOR AN ACCOUNTANT FOR ONE OUR TOP CLIENTS! Location: Syracuse, NY Pay rate: $35/hr 3 month contract with possible extension or perm conversion

Key Accountabilities

• Applies closing process standards and analysis of accounting close practices and transactions.

• Assists with the accurate and timely recording and processing of transactions to support close and proper reporting to drive performance.

• Analyze and reconcile general ledger account activity to ensure the ledger is correct and properly supported.

• Assist in the preparation of various filings and information requests required by the state, FERC and other applicable authorities.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of related experience

• Transaction and Close process management

• General Accounting

• Reporting Financial Information

• Technical Accounting

• Utility industry accounting preferred

• US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, SEC

• Knowledge of general ledger platforms and accounting system experience

• Excellent written / oral communication skills and follow-up, including ability to present to Senior Leadership

• Ability to work cross-functionally on finance processes

• Proficient in MS Excel, Word and other MS Office applications

Pay Details: $35.00 per hour
