Responsibilities:
This position is an Accounts Payable Analyst II role with increasingly more complexity and independence required. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide accounts payable support to 30+ divisions & corporate
Prepare & analyze month end reports & accruals
Prepare & analyze monthly aging reports and line-item flux analyses
Upload journal entries for posting
Research & resolve reconciling items for Operating account
Review daily bank exceptions - US & CAD
Review daily bank rejection files
Monitor check & ACH failed jobs
Positive Pay uploads & exceptions
Research check inquires in SAP
Shared check run responsibilities with payables clerk
Backup for check runs & check distribution
Handle urgent ACH/check requests
Customer Rebate Checks
Check Runs - Checks under $10, checks for Canadian vendors paid in USD, Tax
Void/Reissue Checks
Backup for Mail
Review checks exceeding $20K for duplicates
Credit Card tickets & vendor resolution
Audit requests from Internal & External (Deloitte & Touche)
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of Accounting experience (Payables, bank recons, general ledger)
Accounting degree preferred
Ability to multitask effectively & meet month end deadlines
Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Ability to prioritize key tasks
Detail oriented
Proficient in SAP or other ERP systems
Advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables, V-Lookups, formulas, etc.)
