Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

Our client is searching for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to manage their complex invoice processing system. Your focus will be to accurately process invoices, ensuring that all financial transactions are accounted for and handled professionally and appropriately.

Key Responsibilities

• Review all incoming invoices to verify accuracy, approval, and proper coding.

• Resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, and payment discrepancy issues.

• Maintain a thorough, well-organized system of accounting records.

• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.

• Develop a thorough understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures.

• Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

• Assist with month-end closing.

• Prepare analysis of accounts and produce monthly reports.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, rules, and regulations.

• Provide support for audits as necessary.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in accounts payable or related role.

• Proven ability to handle complex invoices and large amounts of data.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Working knowledge of any industry-leading accounting software.

• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• High degree of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
