Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client in the manufacturing industry, located in the Philadelphia region. In this Accounts Payable Specialist role, you will mainly work with accounts payable, processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Keep detailed and accurate records of customer credit.

• Address discrepancies in purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payments and ensure proper documentation.

• Secure credit for outstanding memos.

• Analyze invoices to post expenses to the appropriate account cost centers.

• Oversee customer credit accounts and initiate actions to collect overdue payments.

• Issue checks to vendors while taking advantage of discount opportunities.

• Match vendor accounts with monthly statements to reconcile any discrepancies.

Requirements

The ideal Accounts Payable Specialist candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.

Other requirements for the Accounts Payable Specialist position include and are not limited to

• 3+ years of full-cycle AP experience

• Experience with NetSuite

• Manufacturing industry experience preferred

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
