    The Department of Computer Information Systems is one of five academic departments in the College of Business. The Department has a strong record of teaching and research accomplishments. The Department currently has 12 tenure/tenure-track faculty members and non-tenure track faculty members serving approximately 2,600 undergraduate business majors, 200 graduate students enrolled in the Master of Computer Information Systems program and 1,000 enrolled in the College's various MBA programs. Both the MCIS and MBA are offered in residence and online via Colorado State University's accredited learning programs.

    Position Summary

    The Department of Computer Information Systems in the College of Business may hire temporary faculty from an applicant pool from time to time. The teaching load and course assignments are determined by the Department Chair.

    Instructors may be hired for fall, spring and/or summer term in a given academic year. Applications will be accepted throughout the calendar year. Hiring decisions are normally made during the late spring and throughout the summer for fall semester, during fall semester for spring semester, and during spring semester for the summer term.

    Required Job Qualifications

    • Applicable Master's degree in order to teach in one or more of the following areas: AI, machine learning, analytics, cloud computing, computer programming, cybersecurity, data management, ERP , networking, project management, information systems, systems analysis and design, and web/mobile applications development

    • Or PhD in relevant area of study

    • Or PhD candidate in relevant area of study

    • Or substantial executive-level experience in tandem with a relevant undergraduate degree

    • Ability to teach courses in one or more of the following areas: AI, machine learning, analytics, cloud computing, computer programming, cybersecurity, data management, ERP , networking, project management, information systems, systems analysis and design, and web/mobile applications development

    Preferred Job Qualifications

    • Experiencing teaching courses in areas AI, machine learning, analytics, cloud computing, computer programming, cybersecurity, data management, ERP , networking, project management, information systems, systems analysis and design, and web/mobile applications development

    • Degree obtained from a school of business accredited by AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International)

    • Previous university teaching experience in a college of business in relevant subject areas or experience teaching in a business setting

    • Substantial business and information technology experience in relevant subject areas

    • Experience with multi-media teaching techniques
