Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as anAdministrative Assistantand join our team to support our government customer in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

The successful candidates will support the Engineering team. They will perform routine administrative duties including answering phones, making travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, assisting with internal and external correspondence, coordinating records, tracking commitments, updating calendars, and preparing reports. The successful candidate will assist in system reading tracking, supporting hiring functions, training coordination, purchase and credit card order requests, and work with other support staff to accomplish team goals.

The position requires ability to interact professionally with multiple levels of management, employees, and job applicants. Must exercise good judgement, discretion, and professionalism in all matters.

Non-Exempt Salary Grade (26-28)

• Associate-s degree with four (4) years of administrative experience, or

• High School diploma or Equivalency with eight (8) years of administrative experience is required.

• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.

Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.

Starting salary $59,251 per year *

*Base salary will be dependent upon candidate's background (i.e. education and experience)
