    Be part of the APU Project and Systems Engineering team assessing and driving achievement of program specific performance within Honeywell Power Systems.

    The successful candidate must be able to apply their experience and knowledge of gas turbine engine development (including APU, Propulsion engines, etc.) and strong project engineering experience, to serve as the single point of accountability for engineering work scope and execution.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Estimate, plan, and execute complex work packages in support of new product development programs.

    • Lead large, cross-functional teams through all aspects of design, analysis, requirements management, hardware, test, and qualification/certification.

    • Develop and maintain technical relationships with major subsystem suppliers and partners.

    • Lead supplier engagement activities, working with supply chain, manufacturing engineering and suppliers to ensure hardware is producible, meets cost objectives and supports the program technical and schedule objectives.

    • Manage cost accounts, analyze budgets, provide forecasts and track earned value.

    • Develop and manage schedules and milestones. Drive Agile program planning and execution.

    • Identify, characterize, and develop plans to manage program/program risks and realize opportunities.

    • Travel to the US and/ or internationally - 10%

    U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

    Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

    YOU MUST HAVE

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent sciences or engineering-based degree.

    • Minimum 5 years of Project / Program Management or Engineering experience.

    • Due to contractual restrictions, this position requires US citizenship status.

    WE VALUE

    • Project engineering experience with APU products (or other relevant complex mechanical system)

    • Experience leading or executing successful verification/test campaigns for an APU (or other complex mechanical system) is a plus.

    • A demonstrated track record in managing complex projects.

    • Effective communication skills and ability to manage a cross-functional team in a matrixed environment.

    • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.

    • Demonstrated Earned Value Management skills

    • The initiative to embrace new technology and the drive to turn that technology into product.

    • The ability to provide technical contributions essential to the successful completion of projects.

    • Superior interpersonal skills required to build and maintain constructive working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.

    • Excellent oral and written communications skills; the ability to convey complex messages clearly as appropriate for the topic and audience.

    • Ability to prioritize time and resources effectively.

    • Tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to react quickly to changing scope.
