    Raytheon is seeking a Finance Manager to lead a business portfolio of programs within the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) SBU. This leader will join our dynamic the Strike Initiatives (SI) SSBU finance team as the lead for exciting program area that is at the early stages of product life-cycle. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing requirements. In this role, the successful candidate will manage all Finance related activities to drive successful set up and execution of programs from proposal development and early award through setup and long-term contract execution. Responsibilities will include providing financial leadership and partnering with Finance Director, program leadership team & customer to ensure sound business decisions on program execution, new business and strategy. Critical focus will be to ensure long-term growth and stability of the program franchise, and ensure financial goals and commitments are met.

    This Business Manager requires proactive leadership that has responsibility for strategic direction input as well as tactical day-to-day financial product review and operational decision-making. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing the financial forecasting and reporting, all financial customer deliverables (CDRLs), variance analysis, presenting at business level reviews, Earned Value Management and compliance, Estimates at Completion (EACs), proposal oversight & new business capture/strategy, and working with internal and external customers. Also, managing the program finance team by hiring, developing, coaching/mentoring, and rotating employees.

    The candidate will need to lead by setting expectations and operational cadence with the finance and program teams. Given the withheld nature this manager must be able to lead and operate independently, to include partnering with customer(s), and make decisions with limited reach and consultation from beyond the program area. Additionally, a candidate for this role should possess strong technical knowledge of finance and program controls, strong problem-solving abilities and good communication skills. The position will have frequent interaction with senior level leaders and functional managers, and ability to partner with those managers will be imperative to ensure businesses and programs are running efficiently, while collaboratively problem-solving and proactively managing risk.

    What You Will Do

    • Provide vision; lead and supervise a team of Financial Managers & Analysts

    • Working closely with the customer community to partner for change

    • Effective management of day-to day operations while maintaining a strategic focus driven by meeting/exceeding business financial goals and commitments

    • Finance staffing, coaching and building team strength

    • Estimate at Complete (EAC), including program risk & opportunity management - Support the development, review and approval various program EACs with all contract types and effectively work cross-functionally to mitigate EAC risks & capture EAC opportunities.

    • New Business capture - Proposal development & Gate review & approval

    • Financial Forecasting/FP&A - AOP & Long-Range Plan (LRP) Development

    • Investment planning - Manage and provide oversight of investment portfolio (Capital, IR&D, NBI) for executing to strategic plan

    • Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) variance analysis, data reviewing and reporting

    • Effectively partner with external customer to develop relationships and focus on customer satisfaction in terms of finance-based deliverables and data

    • Participation and lead of program & functional business reviews to ensure business efficiency and risk mitigation.

    Qualifications You Must Have

    • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related topic

    • Typically requires 12+ years finance work experience; OR an Advanced degree and 10+ years prior relevant experience

    • Financial controls experience

    • Experience across Accounting, FP&A, and/or Program Finance

    • An active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    • Understanding of Raytheon financial metrics, EAC and accounting policies and procedures

    • Strong interpersonal/communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of organization

    • Ability to coordinate and develop rapport with cross functional disciplines.

    • Experience in leadership, specifically on a highly visible program

    • Excellent financial background across many financial disciplines and ability to make decisions based upon impacts across the disciplines financial inter-connectivity (e.g., program controls, accounting, FP&A, budgets/rates, etc.)

    The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
