  • The Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Union Square is recruiting for a full-time clinical faculty position in Allergy and Immunology.

    Mount Sinai Downtown Union Square is a newly-renovated outpatient center, and a hub for primary and specialty care, diagnostic services, infusion center, and lab all in one convenient location in a vibrant community and easily accessible by public transportation. The space is located at 10 Union Square East at the heart of the Mount Sinai Downtown Network and near restaurants and shopping. Union Square is a wonderful example of New York City's diversity that is always bustling and full of energy. It not only contains a national historical landmark, but the area surrounding it is a fantastic spot to grab lunch, find a rare book, take in art for free or pick up some produce at the famous greenmarket.

    We seek candidates with a strong knowledge in Allergy and Immunology, interest in teaching residents and medical students, and excellent clinical and communication skills. While working in conjunction with PCPs and specialists, as well as administrative staff members, the ideal candidates will play an instrumental role in ensuring excellent patient care, quality outcomes, and satisfaction. The physician should be amenable to some evenings. Additionally, there is the opportunity to teach medical students from Icahn School of Medicine as well as serve as a preceptor for our internal medicine residents.

    Approximately half of the clinical experience will be working at the Respiratory Institute. The Institute provides care for patients with a wide range of pulmonary conditions. Patient management is provided by General Pulmonologists and subspecialists in Asthma, Allergy and Immunology, COPD, Pulmonary Hypertension, Bronchiectasis, Lung Cancer, Interstitial Lung Disease, alongside Sleep Physicians, a Cardiothoracic Surgeon and a Cardiologist. The Institute provides outpatient clinic experience for Fellows from the Mount Sinai West/Mount Sinai Morningside Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep, which trains 18 Fellows in a three-year program. The successful applicant will be involved in educating Fellows, and Residents, and there are opportunities to perform clinical research.

    The position includes a full-time academic appointment at Mount Sinai with rank and salary commensurate with training and experience. Mount Sinai has attractive benefits and retirement plans.
