    This management role will support the GE Healthcare Anesthesia & Respiratory Care (ARC) business by leading all program management activities for anesthesia and vaporizer products. In this role, you will work in partnership with business and cross functional leaders managing all aspects of the product lifecycle (new product introduction through end of product life). The position reports to a Senior Director of Engineering.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for developing and managing cross functional lifecycle based initiatives. Manages resources, schedules, budgets and toll gate processes for program and project execution. Interfaces with contractors, suppliers, customers and cross functional counterparts. Influences programs to meet customer requirements.

    • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, or engineering support. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.

    • Implement Lean across the function, including daily management metrics, review and problem solving cadence and agenda. Implement a Lean problem solving culture through the use of the problem solving process (PSPs).

    • Manage team of lead project integrators (LPIs) and junior program managers, supporting the ARC Installed Base/Lifecycle products, following appropriate quality management systems and design guidance documents/processes. Leverage experienced team members to develop newer staff.

    • Ensure effective communication, alignment and support for Lifecycle Programs and Projects across organizational functions (Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Program Management Office (PMO), Quality, Supplier Management, etc.) and ARC global sites (Bangalore, India & Wuxi, China)

    • Work with Product Management, Program Management and Lead System Designers to ensure clear prioritization of assigned tasks. Define organizational improvement opportunities and work with Team and Senior Management to implement actions

    • Align staff development opportunities with other program management groups across Patient Care Solutions (PCS) including application of standardized tools, common templates, best practices, technical training, process training, career development, project resourcing, etc.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in electrical, Biomedical, or Computer Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.

    • 10 years of design and development experience, preferably in medical device development and/or managing medical device programs.

    • 10 years of engineering management experience, including leadership of direct reports.

    • 5 years of program management experience, leading product development efforts from concept to delivery for introduction into the global market.

    • 5 years of experience in various installed base leadership roles, with experience managing IB efforts, including IB projects, regulatory audit support, Field Modifications/Recalls, Quality & Compliance KPIs, and Manufacturing and Service KPIs with respect to the installed base.

    • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while leading multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing, and the quality of outcomes.

    • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization.

    • Demonstrated engineering knowledge, program management skills, and business planning processes.

    • Demonstrated knowledge of FDA design control requirements.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Masters or PhD in electrical, Biomedical, or Computer Engineering, or an equivalent discipline

    • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, solve complex problems, interact with our customers

    • Demonstrated project leadership and/or people management skills

    • Proven mentoring and coaching abilities; demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others

    • Excellent communication, influencing skills and ability to gain buy-in for initiatives

    • Understanding of LEAN, and Change Acceleration Process (CAP) and ability to apply the tools

    • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing and quality of outcomes

    • Demonstrated experience driving continuous improvement for functional excellence in engineering.

    • Demonstrated experience in driving execution rigor and functional excellence within an engineering organization.

    • Experience with Quality Management Systems, product development framework, and working in a highly regulated environment.
