  • Job Summary

    The Associate Creative Director position at SHI is an opportunity for a talented and visionary design and copy leader who can craft and execute engaging and effective campaign themes and assets for SHI's in-house B2B marketing team (comprising web, copy, graphic design and video). In addition to working on campaigns for the SHI brand, you will be responsible for campaigns that support some of the world's most exciting and dynamic B2B technology brands.

    This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct line management obligations but with many opportunities to work closely with both talented creatives and senior marketing leadership.

    You will work closely with the Creative Services Director, Vice President of Marketing, and other senior stakeholders to understand the business goals (typically brand awareness, mental availability and demand generation), target audiences, and value propositions of SHI's products and services, and then translate them into compelling and consistent visual stories across all channels and media. You will be responsible for ensuring that all design work aligns with SHI's brand identity and design language, as well as the latest industry trends and best practices. You will also be expected to proactively identify new design opportunities and ideas to help SHI stand out from the competition and showcase its innovation and thought leadership.

    This role will suit a candidate with prior experience spearheading creative concepts in an agency or in-house setting, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful omnichannel B2B marketing campaigns and innovative direction.

    This role will be hybrid office-based (enjoying two days' working from home per week) or remote, depending on the successful applicant's location.

    Responsibilities

    Include but not limited to:

    • Lead the ideation and development of creative campaigns and concepts for SHI's marketing team, covering all traditional and digital channels.

    • Facilitate creative brainstorming sessions for campaigns across a variety of participants, extrapolating key concepts and pooling ideas for execution across various campaigns and brand messaging platforms.

    • Collaborate with the Creative Services Director, Vice President of Marketing, and other senior stakeholders to understand the business objectives, target audiences, and value propositions of SHI's products and services, and translate them into engaging and effective visual stories.

    • Ensure that all concept work aligns with SHI's brand identity and design language, and in some cases, aligns with SHI partner branding specifications, as well as the latest industry trends and best practices.

    • Proactively identify new design opportunities and ideas that can help SHI stand out from the competition and showcase its innovation and unique brand personality.

    • Provide concept visualizations and mockups to support new SHI campaigns and pitches.

    • Collaborate with creative teams and other stakeholders to ensure final production work is true to the approved concept and campaign objectives.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Design, or related field.

    • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a creative role either in-house or in an agency environment.

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

    • Proficiency in design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite.

    • Strong understanding of B2B marketing strategies.

    • Ability to think creatively and develop new design concepts, campaign assets, in the modern IT space.

    Required Skills

    • Conceptual designer - must be able to work with ideas from scratch and see them through the full design process.

    • Excellent communicator - must be able to articulate and present your design vision and rationale to senior stakeholders and partner teams.

    • Must be able to interact at the C-level - must be comfortable and confident in working with and influencing senior decision-makers.

    • Proven team leadership skills - while this position is an individual contributor role, must be able to mentor and provide knowledge sharing to creative team members: providing clear feedback, guidance, and direction.

    • High proficiency with design tools e.g. Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator - must be able to use the latest design software and tools to create and edit design work, including knowledge in emerging AI creative tools.

    • Excellent understanding of the design-to-publication process - must be familiar with the steps and requirements involved in producing and publishing design work across different channels and media, video knowledge a plus.

    • Established project management skills - must be able to manage multiple creative initiatives simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and ensuring quality.

    Additional Information

    • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
