Automation QA Engineer (CA)

Job Description

An employer for a large insurance company is looking for a REMOTE QA Automation Engineer to join the team of 4+ members. This person will be working on the automation framework, create automated test cases, create libraires for applications, and enhance/rewrite/refactor the current framework. This person will be working with the automation team, involved in daily scrum meetings, and planning meetings on the automation side. As the framework matures - this person will be working with a manual tester closely. 80% automation testing / 20% manual testing.

Role is 100% REMOTE but must work in PST zone. If LOCAL to BREA/San Jose, CA - required to come on site 1x a month or as needed to meet with team and collaborate

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from an accredited college (equivalent or technical field)

2-5+ years of experience in QA Automation - specifically API testing using Soap UI/Postman

2-5+ years of experience with Java programming experience

2-5+ years of experience with Selenium Web Driver

2+ years of experience building the framework (selenium/java)

1+ year of Manual QA testing experience

Experience with MongoDB - databases

Experience writing Test Cases

Experience reviewing requirements

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Enthusiastic about software and software testing

Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking

Ability to self-learn and collaborate within groups

Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) null
