    Position Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our Finance group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, resolving billing discrepancies, and maintaining a strong relationship with external vendors. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in billing software, a willingness/ability to learn new systems, flexibility to adjust to ongoing changes from external partners, and a keen eye for detail.

    Responsibilities:

    • Generate and distribute accurate invoices to vendors based on service agreements or contracts.
    • Verify billing information, including rates and payment terms.
    • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes promptly.
    • Collaborate with other departments such as Family Services, Family Support, Early Supports and Services, Community Services, and Individualized Services to address inquiries or concerns related to billing.
    • Maintain up-to-date records of billing activities, payments, and outstanding balances.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of billing procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
    • Stay informed about State of NH regulations related to billing practices.

    Requirements:

    • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
    • Proven experience in a billing position or similar role with a strong understanding of billing processes and principles is a must.
    • Proficiency in billing software and MS Office is required.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various audiences.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Willingness and ability to pass a background check including a criminal background check, MVR, DCYF, BEAS, and OIG checks
    • Proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation required
    • Must pass a TB test upon hire -- test is paid for by PathWays
