The department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology invites applications for Bird Research Field Technician!

This is a field based short-term position to assist with bird banding and blood sampling in Colorado and Nebraska during the 2024 breeding season.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

• Assist with mist netting

• Assist with bird banding

• Take careful field notes, prepare banding supplies, assist with all field activities

• Proof data

What We Can Offer

The hiring rate for this position is $16.00 per hour.

Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave (~~~) .

What We Require

• Experience in the field watching or banding birds, undergraduate degree, drivers license, skilled at hiking in the field, working outside and extended hours.
