    Job Summary

    Provides procedural guidance, technical process improvement recommendations, business requirements and system planning, system configuration management, application testing, quality control, and advanced reporting to user departments for specific application software used by departments. Also perform advanced analysis of exception conditions, error processing, workflow efficiencies, for all software applications used by departments that they support.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Work with associated business areas to resolve exceptions preventing normal business operations as they relate to software applications and business procedures.

    • Perform advanced problem/root cause analysis of business processes, workflow processes, technical processing, and advanced troubleshooting for user departments.

    • Develop business process documentation and configuration guides for existing and new technical functionality within our system and with deeper granularity.

    • Develop reports using database queries and associated reporting software.

    • Train/Mentor less experienced business analysts with business process designs, technical/configuration designs, testing, quality control and reporting requests from users.

    • Act as a liaison on behalf of Office of Information (OIT) and departments for technology related communications and meetings with technical staff/vendors as needed.

    • Identify and develop technical practices and business processes as requested by business areas.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics, Math, or equivalent experience with three (3) years' experience of equivalent work.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Four (4) years' experience of equivalent work.

    • Any experience working with document imaging software like Highland Perceptive Content (ImageNow) or Hyland (OnBase) Software.

    • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.).

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Experience working with a combination of software related to PeopleSoft Software Applications.

    • Admissions, Student Records, Financial Aid, Student Financials, Advising, Enrollment, HR, Finance, Grants, GL, Commitment Control, Purchasing, CRM, Data Warehousing software, or equivalent software.

    • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)

    • Exposure using Sql statements, Oracle/Sql databases, and using 4th generation reporting software.

    • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and documentation skills would be most helpful for this position.

    • Knowledge working with Agile Scrum Methodology for projects.
