    The Business Development Associate is responsible for supporting the business development team with research, analytics, project management and execution related to strategic transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    In this role you will

    • Conduct market and company-specific research

    • Develop a thorough understanding of GE Vernova segments and adjacencies in order to actively participate in the identification of potential targets and partners

    • Work with the extended business development team on the evaluation of inorganic opportunities, including the analysis of markets, business plans, valuations, synergies, financials, etc

    • Execute financial modeling and valuation of acquisitions, divestitures and partnerships

    • Co-ordinate critical deal activities, eg creation and control process for data-rooms, Q&A processes, etc.

    • Monitor competitive dynamics and generate regular summaries for business development and business leadership

    • Provide project management for transactions, including with respect to marketing and due diligence activities

    • Prepare and edit presentations to support critical decision making by senior management

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college

    • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in Consulting, Investment Banking, Strategic Planning, or Financial Analysis

    • Demonstrated financial modelling experience

    • Ability to lead projects and assignments- Ability and willingness to travel as required

    • Fluency in English

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or Finance

    • Strong self-starter, with the ability to independently execute on deliverables and to overcome obstacles

    • Experience and proficiency with financial modeling and financial statement analysis

    • Proven project management and organization skills

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to work successfully with many stakeholders in a matrix environment

    • Strong executive presence and communication skills, including the ability to synthesize large amounts of data for senior leader decision-making

    • High energy and the ability to energize others

    • Acceptance and adherence to high ethical, moral and personal values
