A Buyer is needed for a company that transports, distributes and generates energy, with diversified assets that include a balance between crude oil and natural gas in the Houston, TX area. The Procurement Coordinator oversees all aspects of purchasing materials, equipment, and supplies, from bid preparation to supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies, cost-effectiveness and efficient supply chain management.

responsibilities

• Executes complete procurement process from bid preparation to purchase order issuance, ensuring compliance with purchasing procedures and meeting user requirements.

• Develops, negotiates, and assists in executing supplier agreements.

• Obtains optimized pricing and cost-efficient methods to assist in company-wide cost-saving measures.

• Researches sources of supply, reviews sole source validity, and determines procurement action methods.

• Negotiates terms and conditions, pricing, delivery, payment terms, cancellation charges, warranty, scope of work, and change orders with suppliers.

• Evaluates supplier performance and addresses inefficiencies via feedback loop.

• Maintains records in accordance with established policies, procedures, and audit guidelines.

Education and Experience

• Related University Degree or equivalent experience in purchasing, supply chain management, business administration, finance, logistics.

• Post-secondary education in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance.

• Two or more years of procurement experience.

Preferred Qualification: Supply Chain Management Professional (SCPM)/Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM) enrollment beneficial.
