  • The CAD Drafter prepares drawings and parts lists for packaged systems, piping, parts, and components for fabrication to meet customer specifications and company standards of quality and manufacturability. Success in this position requires the candidate to work efficiently in both a collaborative and independent environment, must be safety conscious, have good communication skills, high attention to detail, and have a strong motivation for delivering project objectives.

    As a Drafter, You Will:

    Work under project engineering team to build 3D models in Autodesk Inventor for parts and components, structural skids, and piping assemblies in custom gas compression and industrial refrigeration systems.

    Provide technical information concerning design and work closely with manufacturing personnel in resolving problems or making modifications during manufacturing.

    Prepare and issue Change Orders, accurate documentation and drawings for submittal, bills of materials, standard parts specifications, etc.

    Redesign existing standard equipment, parts, components, etc. to reduce costs or increase quality.

    Read and interpret documents such as technical specifications, blueprints, and piping and instrumentation (P&I) drawings. Write reports and documentation of processes and procedures. Communicate efficiently with vendors, customers, and other employees of the organization.

    Schedule

    The facility works 24 hours a day and typically 5 days a week. Our core office hours range anywhere between 7 am - 5 pm and are flexible given we work together to best support business demands as well as the needs of our customers around the world.

    Required Education, Experience & Skills:

    • Two (2) year degree in Mechanical Design, or equivalent experience

    • Must be a team player, willing to learn from experienced staff and capable of introducing positive changes.

    • Able to read and interpret documents such as technical specifications and blueprints.

    • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

    Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

    • Proficient in Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D modeling programs, AutoCAD, and Vault.

    • Previous experience with compression systems and/or other pressure piping systems
