Carpenter

As a Carpenter with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you?ll support school projects throughout Portland, Oregon and surrounding areas.  Interested? ? Pay Rate: The pay rate for this job is $65.45 / hour

Responsibilities

• Hours: Monday through Friday day shift.

• Weekend work potentially available.

• Using hand or electric tools to fabricate, cut, and install framework.

• Build metal, wood framing, and roof truss components.

• Maintain, construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard.

• Complete Build or repair of framing, blocking , and backing projects.

• Being confident in framing, measuring, trim work, and finishing work

• Review blueprints, schematics, and drawings. Follow safety practices at all times.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18+ years of age.

• Valid RIGHT TO WORK DOCUMENTS for Employment in the US

• 5+ plus years of Finish/Rough commercial/residential carpentry experience

• Strong scheduling and blueprint reading skills

• Knowledge of metal stud/wood framing, material management, metal doors, hardware install, drywall, trim, cabinets/counter tops, suspended grid, tile install, etc.

• Reliable transportation to and from jobsites

• Basic math skills ? addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on the fly

• Able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds in order to load and unload wood and other materials 

• Carry needed tools and materials to and from the jobsite.

• Position may require additional screenings.
