    POSITION SUMMARY

    We're a leader in the pet care category and part of the world's largest food company-so you can imagine our salesforce is BIG. In pet care, we focus our sales efforts within the retail and veterinary sales channels to ensure we're at the forefront of consumers' minds. You'll become the expert in our products and the face behind Purina brands to your customers-some of the most well recognized and loved brands around world.

    As a Category Manager, you'll be responsible for creating and implementing a futuristic viewpoint of the pet care category to transform our customer accounts. In this role, you'll exemplify the leadership and communication skills that drive lasting relationships and top business results. You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally across all Nestle Purina assets, facilitating your ability to drive pet category strategy and planning with our customers.

    Having a deep understanding of the competition and how to leverage market insights will make you a subject matter expert and a trusted leader within your team. Data, analytics, and consultative recommendations will guide you in the decision making made by your key customer(s).     • Develops customer category strategies and initiatives that deliver Purina and retailer growth

    • Leverages 4P analytics to develop and deliver consistent category reviews for the customer

    • Develop, test, and share tactics that drive product findability & conversion on the digital shelf

    • "Walks the store" to develop and influence recommendations to improve the shopping experience for total pet department and categories to maximize category growth and NPPC share

    • Influences customers through compelling narratives using insights to support recommended category strategies

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

    • 3+ years of experience in category development, account management, or business analytics required

    • Experience working with syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, Power BI) required

    Other

    • Must be able to travel up to 20%, or as the business requires

    The?approximate pay?range for this position is $94,000 to $148,000.?Please note that the?pay range?provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
