    The Chemical Process Specialist maintains and handles all chemicals within the Anodize department and keeps process tanks within specifications. This position is part of the Pall Aerospace Anodize Team and is located onsite in New Port Richey, FL. The work schedule is Monday thru Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM and overtime is routine.

    This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.

    In accordance with FAA regulations, this is a safety sensitive job and is therefore subject to random drug and or alcohol testing.

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to

    • Work with minimal supervision under the direction of a Cell Leader, Special Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, and other subject matter experts. Ensures operations are EHS compliant (identifies deficiencies and coordinates corrective actions with the support of Engineering / EHS / Facilities / Maintenance). Troubleshoots Production Issues: Notifies/ coordinates with Engineering/Facilities/Maintenance and EHS teams to perform appropriate corrective actions.

    • Maintain Chemistry in the Anodize baths and make appropriate chemical additions; perform titrations in the Chemical Laboratory; properly dispose of chemicals used for the analysis. Maintains chemicals, materials, and equipment in storage areas. Orders materials necessary for production and wastewater treatment. Performs Waste Treatment duties: Notifies EHS of any abnormalities and deviations in waste processing. Identify production and wastewater process deficiencies/opportunities improvements.

    • Communicate daily operating condition of Anodize room and processes (performance / deviations) with all shift personnel. Set-up the work area for success, daily. Act as subject matter expert for operation of all the equipment in the area. Implements standard work as directed, trains Anodize team, and troubleshoots any problems that may occur. Ensures process instrumentation is functioning within specification and calibrated.

    The essential requirements of the job include

    • High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED) plus four (4) years of experience working in a manufacturing or related environment, including two (2) years of experience in chemical processing.

    • Bend, lift (Weight: 35 lbs.) daily, sit and/or stand for long periods of time.

    • Basic math, reading and writing skills; proficient user of Excel and Word, effective communication and comprehension skills, reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in

    • Knowledge of processes and equipment in an industrial setting with exposure to working with chemicals or handling of chemicals.
