Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary:

The Clinical Therapist's role in the continuity of care of patients includes an understanding and participation in the treatment of patients with psychiatric problems following established standards as outlined by departmental policy and procedure manuals and professional licensing agencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Master's degree in Mental Health field or Graduate degree in a directly related counseling program (ex. Ed.S in Counselor Education) from an accredited college.

Experience: Two years of psychiatric or counseling experience (required) and MUST BE ABLE TO BILL MEDICARE INDEPENDENTLY FOR SAMUEL H. ROSEN, MD PRACTICE (required for consideration).

Licensure/Certification: Currently licensed as an Independent Social Worker (LISW) in the State of South Carolina (required for consideration). Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card (required for consideration).

Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrates a high level of knowledge of the mental health categories of illness and behaviors exhibited by patients. Demonstrates a high level of knowledge and skills in the therapeutic treatment of patients to include the facilitating of psychotherapy and psycho-educational groups. Provides a high level of skill in crisis intervention management of patients. Demonstrates professional communication with medical personnel, family members and community agency personnel. Demonstrates an ability to be flexible when interacting with coworkers, patients, patient's family members, and to work as an interdisciplinary team member.

Other: Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive material.

Contacts: Constant interaction with internal and external customers to include (but not limited to) patients, families, physicians, employees and visitors.
