Cnc Machinist

Description:

Manufacturer in the South Bend-Mishawaka area is searching for a CNC Machinist on 1st shift.

Hours

1st shift: 7:00AM to 3:30PM (flexible with start times, some people come in as early as 4AM to get out earlier) * Ability to get 50 to 55 hours per week with optional Saturdays * Anything after 50 hours is double-time pay

Pay

$25/hr

Job Duties

• Setting up and machining steel components on CNC Mills or Lathes
• i.e. Vertical/horizontal boring mill, CNC Lathe (single-turret/single-spindle), etc.
• Reading in-depth blueprints to obtain correct tooling, setting jaws, identifying true position, etc.
• Setting up various operations for one part
• Holding tolerances of +/-.001
• Using various quality instruments to ensure parts meet client specs

MUST HAVE

• 2+ years of machining experience in a job shop environment (CNC Mills or CNC Lathes)
• Willingness to be cross-trained and machining on both CNC Mills and Lathes
• In-depth G&M Code knowledge

WOULD BE NICE

• Ability to program machinery
• Experience with boring mills
