Collateral Operations Specialist

Description

A highly successful NYC Investment firm is currently seeking a Collateral Operations Specialist to join their team. This position will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and compliant management of Exchange Traded Funds.

Responsibilities of this position will include

• Managing and streamlining collateralization processes for ETF creations and redemptions.

• Analyzing collateral levels, haircuts, and initial margin requirements under UMR in an OMS framework to ensure risk mitigation.

• Documenting all ETF collateral holdings, transactions, variation margin calls, and OMS activity.

• Coordinating with trading desks, portfolio managers, custodians, legal teams, and IT to integrate UMR compliance into ETF operations.

• Keeping current with regulatory changes relating to UMR and ETF collateral management.

• Exploring and executing strategies to optimize collateral usage and reduce expenses.

• Generating comprehensive reports on ETF collateral activity, risk metrics, UMR compliance, and OMS operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field

• 4+ years of Collateral/Margin Operations experience at an Asset Manager or Bank

• Derivatives/Swaps and Project/Process Improvement experience highly preferred

• ETF experience advantageous but not required

• Exceptional analytical skills
