SUMMARY:
As a Commercial Lines Producer, you are responsible for achieving annual production goals by prospecting and selling new accounts, by ensuring that on-going support and service is provided to existing accounts, and by generating additional sales with existing accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducting sales, service, and solicitation of all forms of commercial insurance business
Maximizing growth and client retention through superior customer service
Developing accounts and cross selling available products and services
Generating and pursuing new client opportunities
Develop and deliver formal proposals of insurance program
Bringing new business prospects to closure
Retaining clients by maintaining solid business-to-business relationships
Collaborate with account managers and the marketing team to complete proposals and selection of potential markets
Negotiate with carriers and evaluate carrier quotes to secure the best quotes possible for clients
REQUIREMENTS:
5-7 years of experience preferred
Prior Commercial Insurance sales experience highly preferred
Experience selling to a specific industry a plus
Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines
Good listening skills and ability to determine clients' needs efficiently
Excellent customer service, analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and automated agency management systems
Supervisory, project leader, mentor or team leader experience preferred
EDUCATION, LICENSING OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Risk Management and Insurance, or Accounting preferred not required
Current license in good standing in required lines and states with all necessary CE credits
Advanced professional designation highly desirable (e.g., AAI, ARM, CIC)
Department Sales
Required Travel: Up to 25%
Required Education: High school or equivalent
