Component Engineer

Our client, in Energy Industry is seeking a Structural Designer/ Engineer to join their team. You will be you part of the Engineering Department supporting Piping & Layout team.

Job Title: Component Engineer (1 year Contract, potential to extend)

Location: Orlando, Florida (onsite for 3-4months, will move to hybrid after)

Pay Range: $40/HR

What's the Job?

• Support the conceptual design of structures, platforms and pipe supports using drafting and 3D design tools.

• Develop structural design criteria for standard and project specific designs.

• Perform structural analysis for gas turbine enclosures, pipe racks and pipe supports including common analysis of piping and structures.

• Design welded and bolted connections.

• Responsible for issuing structural drawings for project specific applications

What's Needed?

• Civil or Structural Engineering Degree with focus on Structural Design.

• 3- 5+ years of experience in designing industrial structures and performing structural analysis by using computer software.

• 2-3+ years of experience in connection design.

• Familiarity with Codes and Standards applicable in the USA like IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 341, AISC 358, AISC 360, ACI 318 and AWS D1.1.
