  • What You Will Do

    We are looking for multiple independent and creative individuals with an excellent record to join our research efforts in projects at the interface of Immunology and biophysics. This postdoctoral position is available to work in the field of computational biophysics in the Theoretical Biology and Biophysics Group at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. The successful candidate will take part in one of the computational immunology projects or modeling of complex membrane based biomolecular systems. It may involve protein-protein interactions, lipid based nanoplatforms, viral and bacterial antigen discovery, and glycoprotein and antibody designs.

    What You Need

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    Expertise in machine learning approaches and multiscale simulations is required.

    Education : PhD in related field completed within the last 5 years or soon to be completed.

    Desired Qualifications:

    Additional expertise in any of the following techniques is a plus: Atomistic (AMBER, CHARMM, NAMD) and coarse-grained (MARTINI) molecular dynamics simulations, Enhanced Sampling Methods, Graph Theory and Markov State Models.

    Work Location: The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.

    Salary: Competitive salaries are based on the date the PhD degree requirements were completed or the degree was awarded. Starting salary for a new graduate is currently $92,000. For more information go to Postdoc Program website at ~~~ .

    Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2 (~~~) .
