Computer Technician Needed in Stone Mountain, GA

Project Details:

• Pay Rate : $18-20/hr

• Duration: Short-term contract

• Location : South Mountain, GA.

• Requirements : All positions require a successful completion of a background check & possible drug test (we do not check credit) - ABBTECH pays for both checks

• Certification Requirements: CompTIA A+ or equivalent

Project Details:

• Customer Name : Prudential Overall Supply

• Unpack the New System from shipping boxes and inspect components for any damage.

• Verify service tag for each new Client System against packing slip.

• Move new equipment from central location (within the deployment building) to the end user desk side.

• Organize Client System components and peripherals (e.g., keyboards, power supplies, mice) for deployment.

• Plug all power cords into electrical sources.

• Boot the new Client System and verify network connection for Customer's network connected devices.

• Disconnect the hardware components, network cable, and power cord for the Legacy System.

• User Client System installation sign-off acceptance (Customer Acceptance Form).

Desired Skills for Role:

Computer Technician

• Experience working as an End User Computing PC/Laptop Deployment Team

• New Computer and PC deployment

• Must have the ability to lift up-to 50lbs

• Must be able to be on your fee ALL DAY and include up to walking the entire building, walking to different buildings and up and down stairs

• Possesses intermediate to advanced level knowledge and understanding of hardware products, commercial off the shelf application and diagnostic and troubleshooting utilities

• Possesses proven customer service background

• Able to follow verbal and written instructions and update tracking systems as directed

• Possesses good analytical and communication skills

• Possesses strong ability to work independently

• Possesses High School Diploma and A+ certification or equivalent skill set
