Brookdale Senior Living is looking for an experienced storyteller who can find and identify "the" story to tell and the best ways to tell it, whether as video, print or digital. This person will research, write, collaborate and bring to life content for both internal and external communications for the nation's premier senior living company. Responsibilities
Discover, write, manage, and collaborate to produce content for internal and external communications from initiation through completion. Lead project management for various communication-related initiatives.
Partner with videographer to produce videos and help schedule the studio.
Write scripts, find and develop stories.
Create and develop written, digital, and video content (for internal and external use).
Create newsroom content, edit site placement, and manage content distribution of Brookdale News site.
Support thought leadership via content creation and media coverage.
Work with team to execute targeted local PR efforts, support national coverage plans, and brand partnerships.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in journalism, public relations, marketing or related field required.
Experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in public relations, media, or communications
Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements
Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a private vehicle for business use.
Management/Decision MakingUses strong analytic skills and an in-depth understanding of the organization and the business in order to handle arising problems and issues. Solves diverse problems using solid analytical skills where limited precedents or guidelines exist.
Knowledge and SkillsHas an advanced knowledge of the organization, industry, and a functional discipline. Extensive understanding of technical areas gained through experience and used to complete and/or oversee assignments. Ability to work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. Ability to forecast problems and maintain strong conflict resolution skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Microsoft Project experience is helpful. Strong relationship skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary Range Information
$75,610 - $117,030 / year
