    Description:

    POSITION PURPOSE:

    Under limited supervision, performs those functions necessary for the distribution of supplies throughout the hospital. Maintains an accurate inventory, following the process from receipt of the supply through distribution. The patients range in age from adolescent through older adult.

    What you will do:

    • Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed.

    What we are looking for:

    • High School graduate or equivalent required.

    • Previous supply/receiving experience preferred.

    • Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.

    • Maintains a professional, collaborative work environment so as to foster a positive public image for MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center.

    • Knows and adheres to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety and medical information (i.e. HIPAA, Stark, etc.).

    • Must be able to work independently, exercising good decision-making skills.

    • Must be able to communicate well both in written and oral forms.

    • Must have an aptitude for basic math and be clerically accurate.

    • Must have a valid driver's license.

    • Demonstrates the mission and values of MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center.

    • Distributes supplies to the organization by filling telephone requests, department requisitions, or exchange carts.

    • Maintains an accurate inventory of stock supplies.

    • Stocks incoming supplies in correct location and labels with charge number when appropriate.

    • Acts as courier on weekends or as needed.

    • Performs routine cleaning functions to maintain a clean environment.

    • Takes an active role in improving the quality of service provided by the department.

    • Undergo annual training through Healthstreams concerning the appropriate handling and security of IV Solutions and medications.
