Job Description
We are looking for a Desktop Support Specialist to perform preliminary troubleshooting and technical assistance for hardware and associated software. This position will be full-time, 6+ month contract opportunity and on-site .
What You'll Do
Performs preliminary troubleshooting and technical assistance for hardware and associated software
Resolves customer issues where applicable and within position skill set.
Escalates customer issue appropriately
Maintains professional and friendly demeanor in all interactions with customer base and internal/external teams
Unpacking, staging desktop and laptop hardware to prepare for deployment to agency
Imaging and installation of software onto devices
What You'll Need
4+ years of previous experience provisioning and deploying desktop hardware including desktops, laptops and peripherals
4+ years of experience troubleshooting & providing technical assistance for basic desktop laptop/hardware/software issues
4+ years of experience unpacking, staging desktop and laptop hardware to prepare for deployment
4+ years of experience resolving customer/end user issues
4+ years of experience maintaining professional and friendly demeanor in ALL interactions with customer base and internal/external teams
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
