    Job Description

    We are looking for a Desktop Support Specialist to perform preliminary troubleshooting and technical assistance for hardware and associated software. This position will be full-time, 6+ month contract opportunity and on-site .

    What You'll Do

    • Performs preliminary troubleshooting and technical assistance for hardware and associated software

    • Resolves customer issues where applicable and within position skill set.

    • Escalates customer issue appropriately

    • Maintains professional and friendly demeanor in all interactions with customer base and internal/external teams

    • Unpacking, staging desktop and laptop hardware to prepare for deployment to agency

    • Imaging and installation of software onto devices

    What You'll Need

    Required

    • 4+ years of previous experience provisioning and deploying desktop hardware including desktops, laptops and peripherals

    • 4+ years of experience troubleshooting & providing technical assistance for basic desktop laptop/hardware/software issues

    • 4+ years of experience unpacking, staging desktop and laptop hardware to prepare for deployment

    • 4+ years of experience resolving customer/end user issues

    • 4+ years of experience maintaining professional and friendly demeanor in ALL interactions with customer base and internal/external teams

    Preferred

    • Experience provisioning equipment with Microsoft technology (SCCM)

    Physical Demands

    • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

    • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

    • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
