    Job Description

    STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: Plan, organize and coordinate the activities of industries operations, so employment is provided to as many clients as economically possible; is directly responsible for plant operations.

    SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Participate in hiring, evaluating and discharging industries staff;

    • Responsible for effective and efficient utilization of production space and equipment;

    • Develop operating methods and systems to continuously improve performance and training of employees;

    • Managing procurement and resource allocation

    • Assist with managing the on-call staff to stay within budget

    • Develop metrics and process to monitor production efficiency;

    • Develop incoming component inspection methods and finished good quality process, including tools to monitor;

    • Responsible for providing a safe working environment for employees and staff;

    • Monitor and report on all state grants timely

    • Develop periodic pertinent reports, evaluating all programs within scope of responsibilities;

    • Develop process for production planning optimization and ensuring open customer order requirements are being met;

    • Conduct production staff meetings to ensure that you meet the production quotas as required;

    • Develop process to ensure that quality products are manufactured cost effectively;

    • Developing and executing new growth directives

    • Responsible for effective utilization and optimization of human resources; ensuring staff is cross-trained;

    • Build Metric for the Sales and Product Manager

    • Assess and implement lean manufacturing techniques, where applicable, throughout the process;

    • Responsible for products and services that are price competitive through the implementation of efficient processes;

    • Run Monthly, quarterly and annual reports for NIB

    • Make contributions to the five-year plan for industries and develop activities to carry out annual goals of the five-year plan;

    • Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school, business or technical disciplines required.

    • Five to ten years of related professional experience in technical support role or manufacturing operations required, including 5 years or more of supervisory experience.

    • Manufacturing Business Acumen

    • Excellent communication, writing and analytical skills required;

    • Candidate must be detailed oriented.

    • Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and knowledge of adaptive technology.

    • Previous experience working with individuals with visual impairment, blindness, and/or multiple disabilities preferred.
